A local venture-building ecosystem advancing redemptive entrepreneurship, supporting founders, funders, and innovators motivated by their faith to address the major issues of our time.
Redemptive Labs
Redemptive Labs are 3-day curated events where like-minded founders, funders, and mentors explore what it looks like to build a redemptive venture. The Redemptive Lab experience is designed for their specific needs and opportunities — generating experience-based insights and discussions about how to apply the Redemptive Frame to what we build, how we build, and why we build, sharing vision presentations, and getting 1:1 mentoring from experienced venture builders and funders. After the Lab, the participants will leave with fresh ideas, practical tools, new relationships, and critical feedback from peers and mentors.
Redemptive Labs are designed by Praxis and hosted by the IND Lab Team which seeks to actively cultivate a venture-building ecosystem in our community.
Interest
We are looking to build a community of leaders with a redemptive imagination across the broad Central Indiana area, meaning about a 100-ish mile radius from Indy.
There are three different types of Labs, all running concurrently, serving business founders, non-profit founders, and investors/funders respectively. So if you would like to experience the lab as a fellow in one of the Labs we’d love to hear from you. If you’re unsure which one, that’s fine we’re happy to help you discern which is the most appropriate. Whether a founder or a funder, we’re looking for serious Christians who are:
Aiming to embody the gospel through a redemptive venture
Humble and teachable, with a passion for excellence
Seeking an accountable community to grow together in faith and support one another’s ventures
Lead decision makers of their venture and (ideally) working full-time on the venture
For Business and Non-Profit Founders: Those who are leading ventures or organizations that are:
Early-stage, ideally within first 5 years of operations
Post-hunch, actively pursuing traction and growth in what they are building
Designing an innovative solution in their sector
Aiming to pursue their mission through a scalable model and redemptive approach
For Funders: Those who leading the deployment of private and charitable capital either as investments or contributions that are:
Exploring how to apply the redemptive frame to investing and giving
Have a hunch that an inflection point is near
Desire to actively build a dense network of funders to leverage opportunities
Creating innovative funding solutions for their partners
Applications are now closed for the Spring ‘24 Labs:
Business, Non-Profit, and Capital

Specialty Conversation Groups
Join other like-hearted and like-minded people to explore a shared area of interest.
Generally, there is a new conversation group starting quarterly for each area
-
Conversations around real estate-driven ventures and projects that bring a redemptive imagination to the use of our physical space, making the most of opportunities to reimagine life together through place-based design, reinvent materials usage for sustainability, and create distinct living environments that bring different demographics together.
-
A conversation around Redemptive Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (RETA) involves buying and growing an existing small business that has already demonstrated product-market fit.
Individuals who pursue this path are commonly called ‘searchers’ and use a wide range of funding methodologies.
What is in common however, is a long-term hold approach and the application of the Redemptive Frame in both opportunity assessment stage and as the owner / operator. -
Few things affect us more throughout our lives than the communities where we live.
The lack of economic opportunity is one of the foremost challenges for all small towns and frequently leads to a sense disillusionment and frustration.Join others who have an imagination for a conversation about what it means for a small town to be a Redemptive Venture.
Our conversation will include things like the challenge of entering enter into the messy relational particularities, working cross-culturally, creating new opportunities through public/private partnerships, community-focused spaces, thoughtful real estate development, job creation, localized education, greenspace development, and more.
